Ventricular Pacing

Case 1 Answer


History:
This ECG was recorded after insertion of a pacemaker. An 82 year-old man presented with a history of collapse while shopping in the mall. He has an extensive past history of IHD.

ECG shows:

  • Paced rhythm, ventricular rate 50/min
        -atrial rate 88/min, complete AV dissociation
  • Pacing spikes before each QRS complex
  • Wide QRS complex resembles LBBB
