Chronic recurrent chest infection

History:
This ECG was recorded from a 54 year-old man presented with increasing cough and sputum production. He has many episodes of respiratory infection since the age of 9.

ECG shows:


  • Sinus Tachycardia, 115/min, QRS axis at 90°
  • Features of right atrial abnormalties:
        -abnormally tall P waves in II, III, aVF.
  • Feature of chronic obstructive airway disease:
        -poor R wave progression in chest leads
