Atrial fibrillation 1


History:
This ECG was recorded from a 70 year-old man who presented to A&E with acute onset SOB and palpitation. No previous history of IHD nor coronary risk factors. Nil regular medications.

ECG shows:

  • Features of atrial fibrillation:
       -no p waves, fibrillation waves in V1
       -irregular ventricular rate ~100/min
  • Normal axis, QRS duration, QT for rate
  • Q wave in III
  • Poor R wave progression
